Fall Is The Perfect Time To Diffuse Eucalyptus Essential Oil. Here’s Why…
Although falls cooler temperatures are welcome to many (especially us here in the sweltering south), the season comes with a few environmental challenges that eucalyptus oil can help you conquer. Let’s take a look at what this oil can offer you during the autumn season.
Treat Seasonal Allergy Symptoms
If you are anything like me, the fall season is the worst for your allergies. I am not sure what it is that blooms in fall that I react to, but every year I need allergy medication. Eucalyptus oil can help that medication work better and ease your allergy symptoms. Simply add a drop or two to a diffuser or a pot of boiling water and the smell will open your sinuses right up. It works particularly well if you tend to get stuffed up at night.
This is the same premise as the idea above, but for the miserable cough, congestion, and stuffy head that comes with cold and flu season. Keep eucalyptus oil in mind for your school-age children who will inevitably bring home a bug from school. This can help them sleep more comfortably.
Divert and Discourage Fleas
As the weather cools, we are not the only creatures that seek the warmth of our homes. Help prevent Fido from bringing home unwanted guests by diffusing eucalyptus oil throughout your home. Fleas dislike the scent and will not take up residence where it is present.
In addition to diffusing for suggestions above, eucalyptus oil can also be used for a variety of home applications. You can make your own disinfectant, sticker remover, or cold compress for fevers with eucalyptus oil. With its great variety of uses, don’t you need a bottle or two?
