Easy Beard Oil Recipe

easy beard oil recipe

Beards are awesome! If you or someone you know has a beard, you are aware that they can get – well – messy. Hairs tend to go in the direction they want to. In addition, beards can be very coarse. Getting scraped by a kiss on the cheek isn’t very pleasant! It can even cause a rash or irritation to the person either with the beard, or on the receiving end of a snuggle.

Beards can also harbor bacteria – so make sure you wash them often, and use products which are all natural and have anti-bacterial properties. We have an easy beard oil recipe that does just that – it provides a wonderful smell, a softer feel, and even prevents pesky bacteria from building up! Use this beard oil in between washes, and you will LOVE you or your honey’s beard.

Ingredients & Supplies

  • An Amber Glass Bottle with a dropper will work best to store the oil. This way it will last as long as possible, and is also easy to use.
  • Sweet Almond Oil is moisturizing and nourishing both to the hair and face.
  • Jojoba Oil is known to help with hair growth, and tame the mightiest of beards.
  • Cedarwood Oil, Lavender Oil, and Eucalyptus Oil all have beneficial properties for that beard of yours. Use 3-5 drops of each! These oils will condition the beard as well as shoo away bacteria.

How to Make it

In your amber glass bottle, fill it 1/2 of the way with your Sweet Almond Oil. In the space that is left, fill that up half way with Jojoba Oil. Add in your essential oils, and close that bottle up. Shake well before each use. Add about one full dropper of beard oil by putting it in your hands first. Then, rub your hands together gently. Now, pat your beard and then twist your fingers from the roots to the tips.  Voila! A softer, more maintained beard that smells wonderful is now achieved.
