Tea Tree Oil Face Lotion

Tea Tree Oil Face Lotion

tea tree oil face lotion

Lotion is soothing moisture for your skin. You can buy it at the store, or you can make it for yourself at home. The great thing about DIY products is you know exactly what is in them. Did you know your skin absorbs around 60% of everything you put on top of it? Yikes! That means with all those store bought skin care products, those chemicals are seeping into your skin, and making their way to your bloodstream. We don’t like the sound of that.

Tea Tree Oil is absolutely wonderful for acne prone skin. It’s antibacterial, so it’s great for kicking out all that bacteria which causes acne in the first place. In the long-term, it can prevent acne from forming in the first place. Make sure to cleanse regularly, and use tea tree oil often! One great way to use it is in a tea tree oil face lotion. Apply it after cleansing your skin at least three days per week. Avoid your eye area – you don’t want to get lotions into your eyes!

Ingredients

To make this tea tree oil face lotion, simply combine all ingredients in a bowl. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer, and mix all ingredients until very well combined. Scoop the lotion up using a spatula, and put it in a ziplock bag. Cut the tip of the ziplock bag, and use this to squeeze the lotion into your pump lotion bottle.

Now you have an acne-fighting, bacteria killing lotion! When considering the expiration date, make sure you check out the expiration date on the aloe vera gel. When you create natural products, it takes on the earliest expiration date out of all of your ingredients. Most likely, the aloe vera gel will expire the earliest. Enjoy having a lovely, clean face!

how can i help eczema

Prefer to read the transcript or watch on YouTube?

In this video, we’re going to talk about What Can Help Eczema. Over 30 million Americans have Eczema. That number is huge, and seems to be ever growing.

If you have eczema, you may experience dry, red, itchy, and sometimes scaly patches of skin.  It is not fun to deal with, and you can not cover it up easily. It can be very noticeable, if even just to yourself.

Uncomfortable as it may be, there are ways of dealing with eczema.

Sometimes, a change in diet is needed. You can speak to a nutritionist or doctor about this, and determine if you have any food allergies which are contributing.

More often than not, the cause of your eczema is impossible to determine.

There is a DIY eczema cream you can make for yourself which helps to manage eczema.

It is easy to make, and you will notice a difference within the first couple days of use.

What you need…

How to make it…

  • Using a double boiler, melt your beeswax into a liquid first.
  • Once beeswax is a liquid, add in your shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil.
  • Stir your ingredients occasionally until fully liquid.
  • Remove from heat and let sit in room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Add in your colloidal silver and vegetable glycerine.
  • Make sure to stir all ingredients together well until fully combined.
  • Put your mixture into the fridge overnight.
  • Remove your mixture, and let it sit in room temperature for 2-3 hours.
  • Using a hand mixer or Kitchen Aid, mix for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Take a spatula or spoon and transfer your DIY eczema cream into the container of your choice. Mason jars work great!

Use a small amount of cream daily for eczema flare-ups, or just on dry patches of skin. A little goes a long way.

Colloidal Silver kills bacteria and yeasts, which can occur during eczema flare-ups and skin infections.

Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Beeswax, and Coconut oil combine to moisturize skin as well as protect it.

Vegetable glycerine is extremely moisturizing, and provides an added barrier to protect skin from outside elements. It will also help your liquid ingredients to mix with more solid ingredients.

Eczema flare-ups do not have to ruin your day. Use this DIY eczema cream for some relief!

Sunscreen Lotion Bars

Sunscreen Lotion Bars

sunscreen lotion bars

Sunscreen lotion bars are a fun way to apply sunscreen during the Summer months. The ones we make are non-toxic and have all natural ingredients that your skin will love! Commercial lotions can be toxic, and have potential endocrine disruptors that can cause all sorts of issues. We are not okay with any of that, and you should not be either. Knowing the ingredients you put on your skin can put your mind at ease. These sunscreen lotion bars make great little gifts to give out to friends and family who spend time in the sun.

What’s in them?

  1. 3/4 cup Unrefined Shea Butter
  2. 1/4 cup Beeswax
  3. 1/2 cup Virgin Coconut Oil
  4. 3 tbsp Non-Nano Zinc Oxide Powder (Make sure it’s non-nano, so it can’t absorb into your bloodstream)
  5. 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

How do you make it?

Using a double boiler on low heat, combine the Shea Butter, Beeswax, and Coconut Oil. Set the heat on low, and stir every few minutes until ingredients are fully melted and combined. Remove it from the heat, and then add your Non-Nano Zinc Oxide Powder and Vitamin E Oil. Carefully pour the mixture into the silicone molds of your choice. Place it in the fridge for a couple of hours, or the freezer for half an hour. Finally, remove the molds and pop out your sunscreen lotion bars. Store them in a sealed container.

To apply, simply rub on your skin. It will feel like a lotion, and you can rub it into your skin further using your hands. These all natural bars will melt in the hot sun, so either apply it while indoors or make sure to keep it in a sealed container when you’re out and about. It will still work when it is melted, and it will return to a solid state after being in cooler indoor temperatures.

As with all sunscreens, make sure you re-apply this as needed. There are no chemicals to make this waterproof, but the beeswax will help with that. No sunscreen lasts all day, and this is no exception. Use safety and caution when in the sun and outdoors. Now, enjoy your new all natural sunscreen lotion bars!

[Video] – The Best Treatment For Fine Lines and Wrinkles

how can i get rid of fine lines and wrinkles

If you’re worried about fine lines and crows feet spoiling your appearance then you’ll love this Video…What is the BEST Treatment for Fine Lines and Wrinkles?

Prefer to read the Transcript or watch on YouTube? You can read it below.

Are you worried about fine lines and crows feet spoiling your appearance? In this video we are going to talk about what is the best treatment for fine lines and wrinkles.

Here’s the simple solution…

Use Almond Oil for treating wrinkles, fine lines and aging of the skin as it is one of the most well-known oils for skin benefits.

It facilitates tightening of dull, aged skin and lessening of wrinkles and fine lines.

Sweet Almond Oil is a lubricant and is beneficial for all types of skin. While considered to be a medium-light oil with an easy absorption rate, Sweet Almond Oil is perfect for using in lieu of body lotion, a facial moisturizer and even for a sensual massage.

The benefits obtained from Sweet Almond Oil for face and body range from the product being rich in minerals, protein and vitamins. The nourishment for the skin is why it is considered one of the most versatile skin care oils on the market.

So Why Use Almond Oil?

Almond oil is acquired from dried almonds through a process called cold pressing. The almonds are nutritionally dense and rich in Vitamin E, dietary fiber, Vitamin B, essential minerals such as magnesium, copper, manganese, calcium, and potassium as well as
fats which potentially lowers LDL cholesterol.

In fact, many claim almonds contain resveratrol, a compound thought to have antioxidant properties, and touted as being the “fountain of youth.”

By using Sweet Almond Oil as a body or facial lotion, you can repair signs of aging and prevent further damage to the skin. This emollient oil raises the amount of moisture that your skin can carry, thereby keeping your skin fresh for a longer time.

Due to its properties as a strong antioxidant, the light velvety oil produces a firming effect on the outer most layer of the skin, revitalizes it, keeps it moistened, and minimizes the likely conditions of pigmentation and/or wrinkles.

Using almond oil for wrinkles and aging skin on the face works in various ways. It helps to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It ‘plumps’ up the face and fills the age lines and wrinkles you may have.

By using Almond Oil as a soothing lotion, it refreshes the skin, smoothing away lines and preventing more damage to the skin.  It is no wonder that almond products for aging skin are the best choice for skin treatment.

Being non-comedogenic, and a medium-light non-greasy lubricant, it penetrates your skin easily without blocking skin pores. This versatile natural oil for skin care provides the following skin benefits and helps to:

  • Cleanse the skin
  • Enrich complexion and preserve glow
  • Moisturize naturally deep into the skin
  • Ease skin irritation and skin inflammation
  • Prevent dry, flaky and irritated skin
  • When applied to oily skin in small quantities, it balances the complexion
  • Nurtures the skin, making it supple, smoother and softer
  • Treats chapped lips and body rashes
  • Removes eye make-up easily and moisturizes the lids, lashes and underneath the eyes minimizing dark circles
  • Delays the signs of skin aging.

Sweet almond oil is a versatile natural beauty product that if there was only one product for you to use for your whole life …. Sweet Almond Oil would be the one!

Sound too good to be true?

Calendula Coconut Oil

Calendula Coconut Oil

calendula coconut oil

Coconut oil has thousands of uses. It’s high in antioxidants, making it wonderful for both cooking and in skin care. Calendula flowers have amazing skin care properties. It’s antiseptic, antibacterial, and helps to heal minor abrasions and wounds. It calms skin, including the skin of both eczema and psoriasis sufferers. Many choose to infuse calendula in oil. This way, the oil absorbs the wonderful benefits and properties of the calendula. It makes it easy to apply, and to include in skin care products like soaps, balms, and more.

Infusing calendula coconut oil is much easier than you may think. However, doing it the right way will take some time. We’re talking up to 6 weeks time! We promise it is worth the wait, because this infused oil will last a very long time, and has many benefits to enjoy.

To make it, fill a standard mason glass jar up 3/4 of the way with dry calendula flowers. Separately, use a double boiler on the lowest heat setting to melt about two 1/2 cups of Virgin Coconut Oil. Fill the jar with the coconut oil. Now comes the longest part. Replace the lid and keep it sealed, but stir the mixture once every three days. In six weeks, your concoction will be ready! Simply strain out the flowers, and keep the infused oil in the same glass jar.

Ways to use Calendula Coconut Oil

You can use your calendula oil in many recipes, just the same as coconut oil. For example, if you would like an extra skin-calming body butter, use a coconut oil body butter recipe. Replace the coconut oil ingredient with your calendula coconut oil, and follow all of the same instructions.

Alternatively, you can use the oil all on its own. If you have a minor scrape or bruise, you can rub on a small amount of the oil for a quicker recovery. Take a small amount in your hands, and apply to areas with irritated or inflamed skin. This truly is a versatile skin care creation, so play with it and make as many creations as you want!
