Tinted Peppermint Lip Gloss

Tinted Peppermint Lip Gloss

tinted peppermint lip gloss

Tinted peppermint lip gloss is a fun way to have glossy peppermint scented lips for the Holidays! You can keep your lips moisturized, which is important during Winter months, when skin is especially vulnerable to weather conditions.

Lip Balm vs. Lip Gloss

Balm’s primary use is to provide lips with moisture and protection. The same can be said of lip gloss. However, lip gloss takes an extra step by providing lips with a glossy appearance and can also add a pop of color. It adds an aesthetic appeal, and can be quite pretty! Lip gloss is usually a smoother application, and has a lotion-type texture. This is opposed to lip balm’s texture, which is more like chapstick. The Ingredients –

How to make it –

  1. In a double boiler on low-medium heat, melt together your coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter.
  2. Once your mixture is melted, remove it from heat and let sit for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Add in the rest of your ingredients one by one, and stir well in between.
  4. Let your mixture sit in room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  5. Stir your ingredients one final time using a whisk, and then transfer into your tins.

To use, simply take your finger and get a small amount of gloss on the tip. Spread evenly over lips. Your lips will feel moisturized, while looking glossy! There will be a lovely pink tint. These lip glosses make wonderful stocking stuffers, and smell amazing, too. What will you be making for friends and family this holiday season? Let us know in the comments section!
